The worst thing that can happen to a preacher or a church is to be thought "civilized" and "respectable." There is no power in this. We are strangers and pilgrims, awkward, with no home here. Ours is a city whose builder and maker is God. We must strip away the faulty dress of the modern "Gospel," preaching the bare bones of the TRUE Gospel that is nothing short of scandalous in the world. But in this is power!
